The hole for the chicago bolt is 1/4", and the hole to allow the bungee to pass through is 3/8" long by 1/4" thick. The moby is laminated from 3 pieces of 1/4" hardwood (I used aspen because I had it on hand), strengthened with fiberglass laminations. The pieces from which the parts were cut had a layer of fiberglass added to each side prior to cutting out and gluing them up.

The brackets that hold the mobies are each 3 1/2" long by 1 1/2" tall. The 1/4" nhole for the chicago bolt axle is 15/16" above the bottom of the bracket (though it may have been an inch prior to shaping the bracket bottom to fit the lid).

Hope this helps.
